What is Culture - Marimba Ani

Source: www.youtube.com
Culture is a people's immune system
What is Culture - Dr.Marimba Ani'
Culture is a people's immune system'

What does it do for us?It brings us from chaos into order.' It brings order to chaos' Thats what culture does' culture is 'powerful' European understand that.' It binds us to each other ,it gives us identity .' It gives us a reason for surviving.' and then it tells us we should live for it and and we should die for it if we have to.' Culture is the energy source for thriving, and it gives us a sense of security' It also puts us into s system of account of ability' we are accountable to our ancestors.'

Now when you're looking at all of that and its a template for living, then think about it.' And it is a petri dish,so that African culture becomes a it produces Africans'...It cultivate Africans'.... and no other culture can make that statement!... you hear me?

NO OTHER CAN PRODUCE AND CULTIVATE AFRICANS.' only African culture can do that.If we look at..... culture like that and see it as a means by which a people PROTECT THEMSELVES' then we could understand culture as the 'IMMUNE' system of a people.'

There's other people, and culture is that immune system right? Okay.' Now what does a immune system do?

The immune system have the T-cells you got the lymphocytes they become the warriors right? The job is to recognize the antigens, antigens a foreign body which threatens the health of the whole.' and that's where you get that sickness from, alright' because their job is to neutralize ,eliminate in any way that disease, that poison, those antigens things that work against the health as a whole ' okay.

We look at culture as that.genetic memory, read the medical journals is connected to the immune system'it all talks about that ,I'm fascinated with that genetic memory,so that there's these memory cells which, which carry the knowledge and information of about how to defeat the disease' I'm saying culture is all of that.'

Right? ok so what happens, You got the Maafa, everybody know what the Maafa is? maafa is that great diesater that's the kidnapping of us all of that, THE DISCONNECTING US FROM THAT CULTURAL WOMB'..okay.

The Maafa, carries the ' VIRUS' the virus is the YURUGU virus.' see all of this is very cultural specific this is all about us' I AIN'T TALKING ABOUT ANY BODY ELSE RIGHT NOW! I'M TALKING ABOUT IS.' WHEN WE USE THE TERM MAAFA WE TALKING ABOUT AN AFRICAN EXPERIENCE' THAT WAS DONE TO US.'

We not comparing it with any body else's IF WE DID COMPARE IT WITH ANY BODY ELSE WE WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS THE WORST CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY EVER COMMITTED BY ONE RACE OF PEOPLE!... and i support that too.'

Now while the Maafa is carrying the virus ,the process of the Maafa is Europeans COMMITTING CULTURAL GENOCIDE AGAINST AFRICAN PEOPLE.'

What is 'genocide? THE KILLING OF THE GENES.'

SO THEY HAVE ALWAYS WORKED TO ERASE OUR CULTURAL MEMORY " WHY? ... you see." EASE THE CULTURAL MEMORY WHATS THATS GOING TO DO,ITS GOING TO DESTROY & BREAK DOWN THE IMMUNE SYSTEM! IS IT NOT? OKAY"

So we become vulnerable.' What is the nature of a virus?

A virus really has no life of its own !... right! did you know that?

A VIRUS NEEDS A HOST!!!!!

AND CAN NOT BE! WITHOUT BEING ATTACH TO THAT HOST.'

AND IN THE MAAFA WE BECOME HOST FOR THE European Diaspora....... and thats whats thats about.'

Now if thats the case it doesn't matter whether the European is here or not' It doesn't matter whether they sit in this audience or not.'

Because we will behave like them' If we carry a virus.' It effects our behavior!...

And so what they have done is to create a situation IN WHICH WE BEGAN TO DESTROY OURSELVES.' THAT RESULTS IN A CONDITION OF CULTURAL AIDS!...

CULTURAL AIDS!!!

Diaspora
A diaspora (in Greek, διασπορά – 'a scattering [of seeds]') is any movement of a population sharing common national and/or ethnic identity. While refugees may or may not ultimately settle in a new geographic location, the term diaspora refers to a permanently displaced and relocated collective.

African diaspora

One of the largest diasporas of modern times was the African Diaspora, which began at the beginning of the 16th century. During the Atlantic Slave Trade, 9.4 to 12 million people from West, West-Central and South-east Africa survived transportation to arrive in the Western Hemisphere as slaves.[18] This population and their descendants were major influences on the culture of English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish New World colonies.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diaspora

Kemetic / Egyptian Origin of ChristianityGerald Massey's comparative list of Kemetic / Egyptian (pre-Christian) religious-philosophical data, Christianized in the Canonical Gospels and the Book of Revelation.http://www.kemetway.com/massey2.html

Massey over the course of twenty or so years presented facts proving Christianity was fabricated upon what was stolen from Kemet / Egypt; and that Christianity was in no respect original or from any god. The following excerpt from the appendix of Ancient Egypt the Light of the World is of the comparative list Massey compiled demonstrating that Christianity is a plagiarized fabrication from its Kemetic / Egyptian origins. The list is eight pages in length; however we are presenting only three of the eight pages. Hopefully you will acquire the publications of Gerald Massey and learn the truth about Kemet / Egypt and its impact on the fabrication of Christianity for yourself. Following the list is a short bibliography from which you can get more information.Egyptian - (Began 4,000 BCE) Christian - (Began 200 BCE)

Kemetic / Egyptian Origin of ChristianityGerald Massey's comparative list of Kemetic / Egyptian (pre-Christian) religious-philosophical data, Christianized in the Canonical Gospels and the Book of Revelation.
One questions that always arise is: 'If Kemet / Egypt was so great what happened?' The question is brief yet the answer takes days, weeks and even years to answer. What happened to Kemet / Egypt was not an overnight event but was a process of destruction resulting from the Aryan (European and Arab) onslaught lasting more than three thousand (3,000 years) - from 1,500 BCE till 1,500 AD. The onslaught continues to this day with a militarily defeated population having to endure invading predators digging over and for remains (read treasures) of the Kemet / Egyptian ancestors. In addition, having to endure identity theft of epic proportions against absurd claims that Kemet civilization was of Aryan (European, Arab [Semitic]) origins. We now have the destroyers claiming to have created the very civilization they have, and continue, to destroy. What a horror story!

Ancient Egypt the Light of the World, Gerald Massey Each succeeding group of invaders, beginning with the Martu (erroneously called Assyrians), appropriated not only the material spoils of Kemet society, but in addition, the intellectual and technological spoils as well. We are talking about barbarian invaders setting themselves up as rulers and forging their domains on the spoils of the invaded. The fabrication of Christianity is one such example of a domain created by barbarian invaders on the spoils and demise of those from whom the foundation of Christianity was taken.

As a part of the process of domination each invading group claimed authorship of the knowledge base and technology they appropriated from their victims. Each one claimed what they fabricated to have no relationship whatsoever with the civilization / society of the invaded population. Christianity is espoused in this fashion.
That Christianity is but stolen Kemetic / Egyptian religious philosophy and spirituality, including its rituals and beliefs, reframed in an Aryan image is the subject of the following presentation.

Functions of myth
One of the foremost functions of myth is to establish models for behavior. The figures described in myth are often the result of circumstances which may have a moral interpretation. They are worthy role models of human beings because they embody certain combinations of human and animal traits. For example, the Centaur is part man, part beast. The upper body, being human is a symbol of rationality. The lower body, being of a horse is a symbol of animal instinct. The Centaur thus represents the uniquely human psychological challenge of animal instinct in relation to the rational mind. This example shows that myths are not only valuable due to cultural assumption (or 'spirituality'), but because they portray a set of symbols which can be interpreted morally. It is not necessary to introduce divine experience to explain these symbols, since a symbol is by definition a depiction of an idea in physical form. (bird = power, horse = beast, tree = knowledge).

Jiddu Krishnamurti - What do you mean by the future, what is future? If one is desperately ill, tomorrow has meaning; one may be healed by tomorrow. So one must ask, what is this sense of future? We know the past; we live in the past, which is the opposite movement; and the past, going through the present, modifying itself, moves to that which we call the future.

First of all, are we aware that we live in the past - the past that is always modifying itself, adjusting itself, expanding and contracting itself, but still the past - past experience, past knowledge, past understanding, past delight, the pleasure which has become the past?
The future is the past, modified. So one's hope of the future is still the past moving to what one considers to be the future. The mind never moves out of the past.

The future is always the mind acting, living, thinking in the past.
What is the past? It is one's racial inheritance, one's conditioning as Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Catholic, American and so on. It is the education one has received the hurts the delights, as remembrances. That is the past. That is one's consciousness. ?

Free your mind return 2 the source African Origins Part 11 of 11,
Listervelt Middleton and Dr Asa G Hilliard III discuss the Egyptian Origins Of civilization. Discussion on the distortions of facts about Ancient Egypt. Also discusses the importance of learning from the Ancient wisdom of Egypt especially for Africans. Discusses the importance for African Americans knowing their history, not only America but their African History as well.

And that's appropriate, you know and uh to,to be told that Shakespeare a knowledge of Shakespeare,in fact a man who just published a book called cultural literacy,uh Ed Hirsch and uh in that he had 4000 things that everybody is suppose to know. And the biggest chunk of the list that he produced about what everyone in the world is suppose to know to be consider culturally literature is information on Ancient European history which is the Greeco-Roman world.' So why do they do that ?because they know that cultural unity is equal to political unity and economic power.'

(Listervelt Middleton) And so the person who is watching who might be working at McDonalds or some college it is important that

(Asa ) Yeah,(Listervelt Middleton) It is important that their children see their images and read about themselves because what? (Dr.Asa Hilliard) It is important because, without self knowledge you have no orientation ,in other words its like a person walking around with amnesia, with no memory' Uh you don't really have a background to use to explain the experiences that you're having.'

So when any group of people 'disconnect' itself from its own 'historical tradition' IT IS AT THE MERCY OF ANY ONE ELSE WHO COMES ALONG AND TRY TO HELP THEM LOOK AT THINGS ON A DAY BY DAY BASIS.

(Listervelt Middleton) Quickly ,what is wrong with a people reading, always reading the history of another people?

(Dr.Asa Hilliard) Well, first i think you should read everyone's history.' But i think if we always read the history of someone else,we will become psychologically un balanced' we will become,uh PEOPLE WHO DO NOT BELONG ANY WHERE.' BECAUSE ITS CLEAR YOU CAN NOT BELONG TO SOMEONE ELSES HISTORY.'

(Listervelt Middleton) You mention the thing about the sheep dog some time ago.

(Dr.Asa Hilliard) You want to hear the story about the sheep dog?

(Listervelt Middleton) yeah,quickly ,quickly.'
(Dr.Asa Hilliard) Okay,uh.
(Listervelt Middleton) you have a plane to catch?

(Dr.Asa Hilliard) I do have a plane to catch.' so this have to be a short sheepdog story.' basically its a true story about uh how sheepdogs are trained, and that you train a sheepdog,a dog that you can whistle and tell him to go herd sheep, and only can sit down on the hill, and his master can sit on the hill and this dog will run all over in the hot sun and herd sheep for him where ever he wants him to go' by signal.' And the way he trains the dog to do that is to uh,put that dog ,as ah, as it is born, into a pin with sheep' and this dog actually nurses and eats, its sucks on a sheep mother' and it grows up thinking its a 'sheep' in other words it has the body ,intelligence ,endurance, strength of a dog' but it have the mind or a 'sheep' so that it is then pliable, amenable, it can be trained to do things that are very un -dog like.' and uh do things even not in its own interest' uh,do things that uh really are not benofficial to his siblings, for example he could see a dog that was born at the same time from the same mother, but if he never saw that dog until he was an adult,he would treat his own brother as if he's the enemy.'

(Listervelt Middleton) So the black the black child the black student who is always reading someone else's history exclusively

(Dr.Asa Hilliard) Is like a sheepdog? YES!

(Listervelt Middleton)Okay (

Dr.Asa Hilliard) Is that what you

(Listervelt Middleton)lets get a quick one.

(Dr.Asa Hilliard) you want one or two more slides.Okay here's a good one.I have collected together some of the images that we have been looking at,mixed them with mages of African Americans and African people to emphasize the theme that you heard before from dr. yosef ben-jochannan that says they all look alike. And what he's of course referring to is that no matter where African people have been dispersed through out the world that the , they still hold not only the physical image of Africa but they also hold the cultural orientation of African people.' And that may be a good slide to to uh stop on.

(Listervelt Middleton) Oh really?
(Dr.Asa Hilliard) If you got more time.
(Listervelt Middleton)with all that you have said, what is the most important thing that the black parent, the black child, the black teacher can do?

(Dr.Asa Hilliard)Okay,uh speaking as an educator and as a psychologist now and trying to identify the most urgent priority that i can find that will help us to do what we have to do and that is that i think there is

(Listervelt Middleton) what we have to do the goal here is what?

(Dr.Asa Hilliard) the goal is unity and 'RESURRECTION'

(Listervelt Middleton) AND LIBERATION'

(Dr.Asa Hilliard)WELL LIBERATION FOR RESURRECTION.' AS A PEOPLE,NOT JUST THE INDIVIDUAL,I THINK ITS IMPORTANT FOR OUR PEOPLE TO BE STRONG AGAIN.' In order for that to happen it means that there has to be uh systematic uh activity i guest i call it 'STUDY TO RESTORE MEMORY.' In other words PARENTS AND CHILDREN AND TEACHERS A LIKE HAS TO BE RE-EDUCATED! THEY HAVE TO HAVE NEW INFORMATION AND NEW INSIGHTS THAT GIVE THEM A BASIS FOR LOOKING IN A DIFFERENT WAY AT THE EXPERIENCE WE HAPPEN TO BE ENGAGED IN.' SO THAT MEANS A STUDY OF HISTORY.' THAT MEANS A STUDY OF CULTURE.' THAT MEANS CREATING THE INSTITUTIONS THAT WILL LET US PRACTICE THAT HISTORY AND PRACTICE THAT CULTURE.'

(Listervelt Middleton) Is the answer money necessarily?

(Dr.Asa Hilliard) I don't think that the answer ,money would be great but I don't think that answer is money ,it's interesting to me that as I go around the country and look at an African-American Bookstores, that its the grassroots people that seem to be buying the books, that many of the African Americas who have gotten bachelor's masters and doctorate degrees, are not readers.' uh their not using their minds to refresh their perspective and many book store owners will tell you that
(Listervelt Middleton) so what does this tell you about the talented ten?
(Dr.Asa Hilliard) It tell you that many of the talented ten according to Carter G Woodson have been MIS-EDUCATED!...

(Listervelt Middleton) Well you haven't and we thank you.'
(Dr.Asa Hilliard) Thank you.'

'A Universe From Nothing' by Lawrence Krauss, AAI 2009

Source: www.youtube.com
Lawrence Krauss gives a talk on our current picture of the universe, how it will end, and how it could have come from nothing. Krauss is the author of many bestselling books on Physics and Cosmology, including 'The Physics of Star Trek.'

Books by Lawrence Krauss:
http://www.amazon.com/Lawrence-...
Lawrence Krauss, Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand. It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust. You couldn’t be here if stars hadn’t exploded, because the elements - the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for evolution and for life - weren’t created at the beginning of time. They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way for them to get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode. So, forget Jesus. The stars died so that you could be here today.

Alan Watts: Tao of Philosophy- Man and NatureIn my talk last night,I was discussing the disparity between the way in which most human beings experience their own existence. And the way mans being and nature is described in the sciences . I was finding out that in sub sciences as ecology and biology ecology for an example is describes and studies the relationship between all organisms and their environment .the way in which they described human , animal and insect behavior is in flat contradiction with the way in which most of us experience our thinking and our action and our existence. we have been brought up to experience ourselves as isolated centers of awareness and action, placed in a world that is not us,that is foreign, alien other ,which we confront .where as in fact the way an ecologist describes human behavior is as an action what you do is what the whole universe is doing,at the place you call here and now. You are something the whole universe is doing in the same way that a wave is something that the whole ocean is doing. This is not what you might call a fatalistic or deterministic idea, you see you might be a fatalist if you think that you are a sort of puppet which life pushes around. Your separate from life but life dominates you.Thats fatalist. But in the point of view I 'm expressing, the real you is not a puppet which life pushes around, the real deep down you is the whole universe !http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xALE3v_6Kts
