Michael Jordan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Source: en.wikipedia.org
Michael Jeffrey Jordan (born February 17, 1963) is a retired American professional basketball player and active businessman. His biography on the National Basketball Association (NBA) website states, 'By ...
Michael Jordan has come to symbolize strength and wisdom on the basket ball; court. He's a basket ball god.young men both black and white study him.we can see the result in those that want to be like MJ.

JESUS is not a symbol for young black men or even older one's .if this is the case we would see the results.in sports the Hero/Heru's are never dead.they are living everyday .MJ isn't playing any more,he's now a basket ball ancestor/deity/god or what ever you want to call him. There were others before him. This is how myths become alive.we can learn just as much or more from living Hero's/Heru.

Man wrote the bible and said do not make graven images. This was said out of insecurity! People that do great things will become Idols. we can chose who ever we want to expire us ,just like basketball players naturally do when they see a great player.I've never seen Jesus other as a picture of a White man on the wall ,and heard stories about him.

we need living Hero's/Heru's that show us examples everyday.I think this is what the story behind Jesus was,not what it became,as a symbol to control the minds of people. We can see from MJ that as long as the game of basketball is around there will always be an MVP every year. There should never been a story built on one person. In religion or anything else.By the time Jesus was said to be born 3-4 BC, Africans created great civilizations with out Jesus. The power is inside of Jesus said this, but it wasn't put in the bible. It doesn't matter what Jesus or any one said. Its what we do that matter.

Greatness can come from any one.Not just Jesus. We know there are 100 billion stars in the universe.African did great things long before Jesus and after.Jesus didn't change humanity when he was here.Things have become worse. We have to do the work.Myths and Metaphors are the foundation of our beliefs.Humans fight holy wars, not the gods we created.our beliefs are only as good as we are.The is an ancient story from Africa any way.

Dr.
Clarke was quoted as saying, “We cannot separate folklore and myth from
truth. Folklore is both beautiful and essential. And myth is essential
to the ego of all people. But myth is not truth. Myth is based on
folklore.”He observed that it is essential that people ...tell stories that make them... feel good about themselves. But in doing this there is the danger of telling someone else’s story.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rHDYESmrCQ

Jesus said, 'If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) imperial
rule is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If
they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you.
Rather, the (Father's) imperial rule is inside you and outside you.
When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will
understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do
not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty.'

The Gospel of Thomas Jesus said, 'If you bring forth what is within
you, what you have will save you. If you do not have that within you,
what you do not have within you [will] kill you.'

Several current NBA All-Stars have stated that they considered Jordan their role model while growing up, including LeBron James[117] and Dwyane Wade.[118]
In addition, commentators have dubbed a number of next-generation
players 'the next Michael Jordan' upon their entry to the NBA,
including Anfernee 'Penny' Hardaway, Grant Hill, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Vince Carter, and Dwyane Wade.[119][120][121]
Although Jordan was a well-rounded player, his 'Air Jordan' image is
also often credited with inadvertently decreasing the jump shooting
skills, defense, and fundamentals of young players,[115] a fact which Jordan himself has lamented.
